Myself and my friend Shrinivas Gokhale planned for a trek to Sandhan(सांधण) Valley and Ratangad. It is near Igatpuri/Bhandardara. You need to take the route either from Bhandardara or Igatputi(Ghoti). The route to the Sandhan Valley is exotic if you go in rains but it is too risky to get there so prefer to go in Winter. Since, the location is border of Thane, Nashik and Ahmednagar districts the Sahyadri ranges are very high and we feel the  strategic importance of Thane district to the Maratha Empire. The road to Sandhan Valley is really superb. On your right hand you see the highest peak of Sahyadri i.e. Kalsubai and on left-hand side you see the backwaters of Ghatghar Dam. Also, the AMK or the Alang, Madan and Kulang the three forts are visible from here. To reach the Sandhan Valley you need to go to the village called Samrad(साम्रद). After leaving for 20 - 22 years in Virar first time I visited Chinchoti Waterfall. This is a good place for one day trip and enjoyed it very much. It is just a superb place to get close with nature. The jungle was very dense. We need to park our bikes at a distance of about 2 kms from the waterfall. It is quite a big waterfall but since rain was less from around 15 days the waterfall had became extinct, but still it looked gorgeous. It was a superb experience. Once in a rainy season a must visit place which is hardly away from Mumbai....Do visit...

Sunday was the superb day for me as me and my brother watched movie 'Balgandharva'. Balgandharva is based on classical music singer Narayan Shripad Rajhans. He was also an actor in marathi plays which were very popular during late 80's and mid 90's. Narayan as a child sung in front of Lokmaya Tilak the then freedom fighter and hearing to Narayan's song one day he bestowed him with new name "Balgandharva". Gandharva means the singer who sings in the 'darbar' of Indra - The King of Gods. Narayan was so beautiful that he used to perform the roll of lady actresses in the plays since at those times women were not allowed to act in plays. Even they were prohibited to come out of the house. Balgandharva used to perform the lady characters in the plays. In this feature film, Subodh Bhave has played the lead role of Balgandharva and he has done it so well that he deserves a national award. Congratulations to all the members who have founded Vasai - Virar Kobra Katta. It is a beautiful place to have 'KOBRA' contacts from Vasai - Virar area after long stay of 20 - 24 years in Virar. We actually have some constructive meetings out there and we have undertaken one project and now on verge to complete it. We are distributing notebooks to the students of Vanvasi Kalyan Aashram on 27th of this month. All the things are going on very finely and now we all are waiting to go there......

I am doing my MMS from Mumbai University from Vishwakarma Sahajeevan Institute of Management, Khed, Ratnagiri. We are having a lot of good time in presentations and our assignments. No time for fun!!!!
